Esperanza
A violent tale told in five parts
A man with a past escorts a murderer across the wilds of New Mexico and is tortured every single step of the way.
Chapter One
Meet Bruce Carter, a soldier in the US Army fighting in the Apache wars during the 1870s, and discover the events that led him to renounce violence. Now, nearly a decade later his farm is struggling to pay its debts, and Bruce is offered a chance to track down a killer for a sizable bounty. All he has to do is pick up his gun…
Chapter Two
The bounty hunters head out into the distant cattle ranches of New Mexico beyond them wild lands across the red river and into the mountains. They weigh the dangers of arresting the murderer against the finality of killing him on sight.
Chapter Three
Bruce Carter goes head to head against the wild and unpredictable murderer, Jack Naples. Naples pries at Carter’s pacifism and attempts to force his hand into using violence once again — even if it’s against himself.
Chapter Four
The murderer Jack Naples explains the nature of evil as he sees it, contrasting his own methods to those of Bruce Carter, who refuses to bend in his pursuit of Good.
Chapter Five
In the final installment, the characters race against each other, and time, to prove their points of view and seal them with blood.
